For its third edition, the prize was awarded to the artist, selected from among the 16 nominees featured in the section dedicated to the French art scene, curated by Loïc Le Gall and entitled Babel – Art et langage en France. Born in 1975, Elsa Sahal lives and works in Paris. She graduated in 2000 from the Beaux-Arts de Paris, where she studied under Erik Dietman, and immediately chose ceramics and sculpture as her primary mediums. For over twenty years, she has championed the place of ceramics in contemporary art and has chosen the body, female desire, and sexuality as her fields of exploration and inquiry. First exhibited in São Paulo in 2022, the series draws on his Christian upbringing, using water as a symbol of renewal and metamorphosis. Galerie Romain Morandi received the Booth Prize. The Historical Design Prize was awarded to Laffanour / Galerie Downtown for an exceptional piece known as L’Armoire aux Poissons, designed by Le Corbusier and Joseph Savina. The Contemporary Design Prize was awarded to Galerie Dumonteil for its coffer designed by Aurélien Veyrat, who transforms second-hand furniture using brick marquetry, giving it a new texture and a new identity.
