The Living Museum of Fashion at the Fondation Cartier pour l’art contemporain (Copie)
For 15 days, Olivier Saillard takes over the exhibition spaces to tell a story of fashion in motion through The Living Museum of Fashion: a program of exhibitions, installations, performances, and talks—entirely new—imagined and conceived especially for the Fondation Cartier at the Palais Royal.
Repertoire No. 1: Yves Saint Laurent 1971, the Scandal Collection – 13 & 14 March at 9 pm
On the occasion of the Yves Saint Laurent show that preceded the Spring–Summer 1971 collection, Paloma Picasso appeared in a look combining a turban and a strong-shouldered jacket that profoundly inspired the couturier. By inviting Paloma Picasso to revisit this moment and the inspiration she suggested, Olivier Saillard seeks to comment on the possible reenactment of a collection through memory, narrative, and garments—fragments of a fresco from which bodies, gestures, and moments have departed.
