Wolfgang Hahn Preis 2026artLee UfanWolfgang Hahn PreisThe Gesellschaft für Moderne Kunst at Museum Ludwig has awarded its annual Wolfgang Hahn Preis to Lee Ufan (born in 1936), the Korean artist known for his minimalist practice and being a key figure in the Mono-ha movement. The Cologne museum will acquire works by Lee Ufan for its collection, and present his solo exhibition late next year. This is the second time that the prize has been given to a South Korean artist, following Haegue Yang (born in 1971) in 2018.Image: Lee Ufan, Silentium, 2025, Natural Stone, Charcoal, (stone) 78 x 63 x 80(h) cm (charcoal shadow) 102 x 121 cm. © Lee Ufan. The prestigious photography prize comes with an endowment, a major exhibition at the Sprengel Museum Hannover and a publication. With her chosen techniques, Isabelle Le Minh repeatedly scrutinises the usability of photography as a credible representation of reality. In a reflexive way, she explores the very nature of photography, its subject-matters, uses, processes, its tools and protagonists, its rhetoric and history.Image: Isabelle Le Minh, JUST AN ILLUSION, After Ed Ruscha, 2008. For decades, Devlin has been creating immersive, transportive environments, helping fashion houses become storytellers. As FRAME editor at large Tracey Ingram wrote last year, ‘challenging times are breeding an expectation for the unexpected’ and ‘fuelling a consumer hunger for escapism’. Es Devlin’s work has long embodied this spirit. Amid continued uncertainty, her ability to transform imagination into a shared experience feels more vital than ever, making her a fitting recipient of FRAME’s 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award.Image: Courtesy of Louis Vuitton. At Louis Vuitton Womenswear Cruise 2026, Devlin swapped the audience and the stage. Guests were seated on stage in seating areas with backs resembling clerical chairs.About the FRAME Lifetime Achievement Award Équerre d’argent 2025architectureGroupe scolaire Simone VeilÉquerre d’argentLe Penhuel & Associés received the Équerre d’argent 2025 for the Groupe scolaire Simone Veil, an innovative educational school complex and a recreation center built in Tremblay-en-France (Seine-Saint-Denis). The jury, composed of representatives from AMC and Le Moniteur magazines, appreciated the use of local materials: the load-bearing stones for the façade come from Bonneuil-en-Valois, some 50 kilometers away. They also praised the rammed earth walls, wooden beams, and natural ventilation.Image: Le Penhuel & Associés, Groupe scolaire Simone Veil, Tremblay-en-France, Seine-Saint-Denis. Jobe Burns was awarded the programme's highest accolade, the Gerry McGovern Award for his sculpture Intimate Conversation. The work, which layers luminous automotive paint onto salvaged steel and aluminium, was celebrated for its evocative blend of craftsmanship, emotional depth and its strong conceptual foundation. The piece was particularly noted for its dynamic use of colour, which defies the uniform precision typical of automotive paint and instead showcases an unexpected tactile, painterly quality.Image: Jobe Burns, Intimate Conversation, 2025.About the Jaguar Art Awards Bourse SAIF Carte Blanche ÉtudiantsphotographyTom LyonBourse SAIF Carte Blanche ÉtudiantsSince 2022, SAIF has been supporting emerging creativity with a dedicated grant from the Carte Blanche Étudiants program, with funding awarded to one of the winners of the current edition. This year, the grant will enable Tom Lyon, a master's student at the KASK School of Arts (Belgium), to continue his Arena project, which he began two years ago. Arena seeks to highlight individual and personal stories related to migration and its criminalization, while simultaneously questioning the imagery and narratives surrounding European border policy and control.Image: © Tom LyonAbout the Bourse SAIF Carte Blanche Étudiants Film London Jarman Award 2025artOnyeka IgweMorgan QuaintanceFilm London Jarman AwardOnyeka Igwe and Morgan Quaintance are the joint recipients of the Film London Jarman Award, which recognises artists working with moving image.
